Couscous for Canines


 

Ingredients:

 
4 cups organic chicken broth
4 teaspoons virgin olive oil
4 cloves garlic, chopped
2 cups vegetable-flavoured couscous
2 tablespoons Romano cheese, grated
4 tablespoons canned and chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoons pine nuts, lightly toasted
 
1.)  Pour the broth into a saucepan and bring to a boil slowly.  In another pan heat the oil and saute the garlic.  Add the couscous and cook for 4 minutes. 
 
2.) Pour the boiling broth over the couscous and let stand for 5 minutes.  Flake with a fork and stir in the cheese, chopped tomatoes and toasted pine nuts.
 

3.) Serve over your dog's kibbles with extra broth, if needed.
