Biscuits & Gravy


 

 

Ingredients:
 
2 cups oat flour
2 cups brown rice flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
4 ground sweet Italian turkey sausages
1 cup chicken broth
 
1.) Preheat oven to 450o F.
 
2.) Boil the sausages for 20 minutes.  Cool enough to be able to handle, and then remove the sausage casings and grind in a food processor.
 

3.) Combine the cooked sausage with the rest of the ingredients and mix until a dough forms.  Roll the dough out to 1/4" thickness and cut into round circles with a cookie cutter or bottom of a glass.  Place on an aluminum-lined cookie sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until browned.  Cool on a wire rack and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
